THE WHOLE PROBLEM IS
is that Cage decided to stop acting after he won his Oscar. Since then, he's been in one decent film that I can actually say "Wow, he was actually acting!", and that was FACE/OFF. Since then, he's just been slumming the fuck out of his career. It's really reprehensible for someone who built his career on being edgy and powerful and has just devolved into a guy who spin-kicks Leelee Sobieski. He needs to get a new agent, and he REALLY needs to do something different with that toupee. THE ROCK, while being an enjoyable film, was the worst thing that ever happened to Cage, because he now thinks he's an action star. He even phoned in ADAPTATION and LORD OF WAR. |

...now im not saying all...
but i enjoy the National Treasure series, Con Air, 8MM, Face/Off, Raising Arizona, Bringing out the dead, 60 seconds, Matchstick men, not to mention Lord of War. those are all about the ones i can name, like i said some of them...but i can cut him some slack to an extent, we all make bad choices, even the all high and mighty Johnny Depp (::cringes::), Cage just makes bad ones half the time. |
