RE: MUSIC
Turns out the music (at least that in the second half of the trailer) is from Brannaugh's Henry V scored by Patrick Doyle. |

WOW
As far as I am concerned these two actors can just walk around for two hours, and I'll still pay money to see that. |

KIDMAN AND LUHRMANN = HEAVEN
Looking forward to it. As for those knocking Kidman, as she has proven before in Margot At The Wedding, The Golden Compass, Fur, etc., she is probably going to be one of the best or leading things in this movie. Compared to her co-star Hugh Jackman, who apparently is a lead actor and has yet to achieve anything despite years of being cast in a leading role, I'd say NK works right ahead. "Deception" was quite an achievement, wasn't it? And that Woody Allen movie he made was also something people are still talking about, right? yeah Didn't you see the crowds of people buying tickets for that. Oh, look at The Fountain but we thank heavens for the X-Men movies. And what was that awful TV musical he produced that is still showing on TV? no, oh, it's been cancelled? I wonder why.
And after making $1.3bn for the studios without much of a hit movie and leading TGC to making $371m worldwide, I daresay that the studios know what they are doing when they cast her.
Yep, Kidman uses botox and still gets paid her $15m when she demands it. You gotta love her smarts! |

The Australian film industry has a lot to thank Baz Luhrman for. Like his films or not, at least he keeps his productions local. Most Aussie filmmakers are forced to go overseas, away from our shitty industry set up, so it's good to see someone stay and try to help the Australian film industry as a whole...although knowing them they'll complain that the budget is too big, so therefore it isn't truly Australian (or something ridiculous like that). |

Looks very beautiful. As a Hugh Jackman fan, I'll definitely be seeing this. Still not thrilled about Nicole though. With that utterly botoxed face of hers, she is so bland. |

Too bad mister Luhrmann uses music from the good the bad and the ugly ( 35 secs in ).. |

EPIC!
I've been watching this one for a while. I've always been intrigued by Luhrman but never was too big of a fan (though Romeo + Juliet is pretty awesome). This just looks beautifully shot, epic, and man that music gave me chills. You can definitely count me in. I'm just wondering if, with such a grounded movie, it will still feature all of Luhrman's flair. |

I'm such a sucker for such epic films. This one actually looks good. Definitely fulfilling the "Gone with the Wind of Australia" promise. |
