Like everyone else on the planet I saw SPIDERMAN 3 at the weekend. On the whole I was fairly underwhelmed by the whole thing. My opinion obviously did nothing to halt the juggernaut at the box-office, since after demolishing PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST‘s record for biggest opening weekend, Sony has confirmed they’ll be making a further 3 movies. Chief executive at Sony, Michael Lynton said they would continue to make “as many as we can make good stories for”. My opinion is that they probably should have stopped at two then. Either that or taken the storylines from SPIDERMAN 3 and then spread them over at least two films. I don’t think I’m alone in thinking there was just too much going on. Either way, Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Sam Raimi have all yet to confirm their participation.
