007 needs director

James Bond will require someone other than M to give him mission directives next time around — Martin Campbell, who has already defibrillated the 007 franchise twice, will apparently not be returning to the director’s chair for BOND 22 (catchy title and theme song TBA).

While visiting China to promote CASINO ROYALE, Campbell stated it was “highly unlikely” he would return to the character once more (he also directed Pierce Brosnan’s initial 007 entry GOLDENEYE). No reason was given, but let’s hope it’s not because he’s too busy preparing VERTICAL LIMIT 2.

Cameras aren’t set to roll on Daniel Craig’s next installment as the suave superspy until NEXT January, so the film still has sufficient time to find someone suitable for the director position. And a script.
